ALN Teaching Assistant – Carmarthenshire

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with multiple ALN provisions and specialist units across Carmarthenshire and are seeking passionate and motivated ALN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced ALN specialists and those looking to develop their skills within a supportive, flexible setting.

Role Responsibilities

Supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) including ASC, ADHD, and social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Working within specialist ALN provisions and units
Delivering reading and writing interventions to support literacy development
Supporting pupils to access the community, encouraging social engagement and life skills
Promoting independence, confidence, and daily living skills
Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
Adapting support to meet individual learning and care needs

Experience & Training

Previous experience supporting ALN is desirable but not essential

Requirements

Enhanced DBS (Child Only) or willingness to obtain
EWC registration or willingness to register
Experience in education, childcare, or a relevant care role
Health & Social Care qualification desirable but not essential
Ability to maintain regular communication with your consultant

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
