Teaching Personnel are recruiting a passionate and proactive ALN Support Worker to join Specialist Teaching Facilities (STF) within welcoming primary schools in Ammanford.

This is more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to support children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in a structured, nurturing environment where every small step is a big achievement.

You’ll be working with pupils with a range of needs including autism (ASD), communication difficulties, and complex learning needs, helping them build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.

Your Role

Provide 1:1 and small group support within STF classrooms Support pupils with ALN, ASD, sensory needs, and emotional regulation Use visual aids, PECS, and communication strategies for non-verbal pupils Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing Help pupils access learning in a way that suits their individual needs Work closely with teachers, ALN coordinators, and support staff Support daily routines, transitions, and structured activities Create a safe, consistent, and engaging learning environment What We’re Looking For

A calm, patient, and empathetic individual A genuine passion for working with children with ALN/SEN Experience in education, care, youth work, or support roles (desirable) Understanding that behaviour is communication Confidence supporting sensory needs and structured routines Adaptable, reliable, and proactive approach Full UK driving licence and DBS (or willing to obtain) Why Join Teaching Personnel?
