Job Description
Job Title: Air Hygiene / Fire Damper Engineer\n\nLocation: Coventry, West Midlands\n\nSalary/Benefits: £26k - £38k + Training & Benefits\n\nWe are recruiting on behalf of a growing Air Hygiene / Ventilation specialist, who have a stronghold in the Midlands region. Due to recently winning new contracts in the area, they are seeking a hardworking and switched-on Air Hygiene / Fire Damper Engineer to cover new client contracts. As a minimum, candidates will need proven hands-on experience with undertaking testing on fire dampers and cleaning of ventilation systems and ductwork.
It would be advantageous to hold experience with dust/fume extraction systems. Our client is offering competitive basic salaries and benefits packages.\n\nConsideration will be given to candidates based around: Coventry, Royal Leamington Spa, Rugby, Daventry, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Leicester, Coalville, Atherstone, Tamworth, Solihull, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Birmingham, West Bromwich, Dudley, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Stratford-upon-Avon, Derby, Nottingham, Cannock, Burntwood, Lichfield, Rugeley, Stourbridge, Droitwich Spa.\n\nExperience / Qualifications:\n\n * Experience working as an Air Hygiene / Fire Damper Engineer\n\n * Will hold the Fire Damper and TR19 qualifications\n\n * Good working knowledge of TR19 and BS9999 guidelines\n\n * It would be advantageous to hold: CSCS card, IPAF, PASMA and / or Confined Spaces\n\n * Hardworking attitude\n\n * Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills\n\nThe Role:\n\n * Inspecting and testing of fire dampers and undertaking some remedial works (including TEK screw removals, plus collar and link changes)\n\n * Cleaning of existing ductwork and ventilation systems\n\n * Installations of new ductwork / ventilation and extraction systems\n\n * Fitting access panels\n\n * Completing remedial works on existing systems, e.g. filter changes\n\n * Producing detailed technical reports and schematics\n\n * Working across a variety of commercial, manufacturing and industrial premisies\n\n * Highlighting any non-conformities on site\n\n * Adhering to strict safety guidelines\n\n * Providing clients with project updates and technical advice\n\nAlternative Job titles: Ventilation Engineer, Air Hygiene Technician, Fume Extraction Technician, Fire Damper Tester, Fire Damper Technician, Ventilation Technician.\n\nFuture Select are recruiting in the Compliance / Environmental industry, including: LEV / Critical Air / Clean Air / Air Hygiene / Fire Safety; we work with the best clients & candidates and supply the majority of permanent jobs in the market.\n\nWe would be interested in speaking to candidates with experience in any disciplines from Risk Assessors, Service Engineers, Account Managers and Business Development/Operational Managers through to Director level.\n\nFuture Select Copyright 2026
