We’re hiring for a mobile Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join a long-established service and maintenance team working across the North West. This is a full-time, field-based role focused on maintenance, fault finding, and repair across commercial clients — with a tight patch, strong manufacturer training, and a 1-in-10 callout rota that keeps your work-life balance in check.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be working on a wide mix of AC and refrigeration systems — split systems, VRVs/VRFs, cold rooms, commercial refrigeration cabinets, AHUs, and chillers. Most of your time will be spent in the field across schools, hospitals, healthcare sites, and retail premises, using a company vehicle fully kitted out for mobile engineers. You’ll handle breakdowns, general service, and planned maintenance, with plenty of technical support on hand if needed.
What You’ll Need
F-Gas certification is essential, as is a solid track record in service and maintenance of both air conditioning and refrigeration plant. You’ll need to be comfortable working independently, confident with diagnostics, and ideally have experience with Daikin and Mitsubishi equipment (the team is a certified D1+ and Diamond Partner). NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & AC is .
What’s on Offer
* £37,000 – £41,000 base salary (depending on experience)
* 40-hour week, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
* Overtime paid at 1.5x
* 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
