AI Technical Architect\n\nHybrid, 3 days onsite in Central London \n\n£65k-£95k depending on experience\n\nPermanent \n\nRole Overview:\n\nOur client is looking for an experienced Technical Architect with a strong background in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data architecture in an investment banking environment. \n\nThe ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing and implementing scalable, high-performace data platofrms using modern tech including MongoDB, redis, Elasticsearch and others. \n\nThis role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on technical skills and a proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade solutions.

\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nArchitect AI-driven data platforms supporting investment banking applications and regulatory reporting.\nDesign and implement strategies for fast, reliable data storage and retrieval using MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, and other modern technologies\nCollaborate with data scientists, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant solutions\nEnsure data integrity, security, and governance across all layers of the architecture\nLead innovation in AI integration, including model deployment, real-time analytics, and inference optimisation\nEstablish best practices for caching, indexing, and query optimisation\nProvide technical leadership and mentor-ship to engineering teams\nPartner with cloud and infrastructure teams for optimal deployment and cost efficiency \n\nRequired Skills and Experience:\n\n15+ years in technology organisations with a strong focus on architecture and enterprise solutions\n5+ years as a Technical Architect with hands-on experience in:\n\nMongoDB - schema design & performance tuning\nRedis - caching & high-speed data access\nElasticsearch - search & indexing strategies\nOther modern data technologies for fast storage and retrieval\nStrong expertise in AI/ML integration within enterprise architectures\nDeep knowledge of data modelling, distributed systems, and micro-services\nExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)\nSolid understanding of data governance, security, and regulatory compliance\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills \n\nModis International Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers in the UK.
