As Assistant General Manager , you'll work closely with the GM to drive operational excellence, oversee daily operations, and ensure every guest enjoys a flawless experience. You'll lead from the front, maintain the highest standards, and inspire a motivated, high-performing team.
What You'll Do
Support the GM
Implement business strategies to maximise efficiency and performance.
Assist in key decision-making and problem-solving.
Monitor financial performance, control costs, and optimise revenue.
Take ownership of business results and uphold brand standards.
Operations Management
Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments, ensuring smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.
Work with the Reservations Manager to manage bookings, hit sales targets, and oversee FOH flow.
Ensure compliance with health & safety and licensing regulations.
Keep on top of staffing, service quality, inventory, and facility maintenance.
Collaborate across departments to streamline processes.
Team Leadership
Lead by example, motivating the team to deliver their best.
Provide training, coaching, and support to management and staff.
Conduct performance reviews and encourage professional growth.
Guest Experience
Be a visible presence in the venue, engaging with guests to exceed expectations.
Resolve issues with professionalism and care.
Build strong relationships with regular guests and Friends of MAYA.
What You Bring
Proven leadership in hospitality, with a passion for service.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Financial awareness with the ability to manage P&L.
