Agile Coach - Data and Analytics 6 Month Contract (Outside IR35) Hybrid, Edinburgh Starting ASAP Day Rate: £550 About the Role: Harvey Nash's Pub Sec client are looking for an experienced Agile Coach to work with multiple parts of the Data & Analytics function, helping them find new ways of working and collaborating, while also supporting delivery and providing facilitation. Data & Analytics is one of the parts of the DDaT (Digital, Data and Technology) directorate, alongside Engineering, IT Enablement, Product/BA/Agile and User-Centred Design. Data & Analytics comprises: Data Science; Data & AI Products; Data Engineering; GIS; Business Intelligence and Analytics; and Quality & Data Improvement. The use of data & AI products in the organisation sits under Data & Analytics. The area has been going through a period of rapid growth and change. Main Duties: Support for the delivery of Data and AI Products, working with Data Science and Data Engineering Coaching and delivery support, working with the Senior Product Manager for Data & AI Products Establishing and coaching to improve Agile ways of working across Data & Analytics Work with Data & Analytics leadership to drive change on key strategic initiatives, ensuring challenges are well defined, scoped, prioritised and actioned Planning and facilitation support for across Data & Analytics Coaching to guide the teams in Data & Analytics through a period of growth and change, and to help them collaborate as their Data & AI Strategy is defined and then implemented Working with the Data Science team to develop and embed Agile working as they grow, e.g. designing a new Jira board, establishing team ways of working, suitable cadence of Agile meetings and a data science delivery model that facilitates collaboration with software development teams Working with teams across Data & Analytics to help them deliver multiple products and services to ensure value is realised in line with roadmaps Working with leads on our Data & AI Champions Network to grow capability, adoption and usage of AI (primarily Copilot) organisation wide Essential Skills & Experience: Agile experience Deep understanding of different Agile concepts and techniques Experience and evidence of embedding Agile practices in different kinds of teams, not just product teams Ability to use the most relevant practices Knowledge and understanding of Agile product (software) development Ability to drive continuous improvement even in high-performing teams Digital and service experience An understanding of good digital and data service delivery design Experience of working with teams building digital, data and AI products and services Experience of different industries (public-sector experience is desirable but not essential) Experience, understanding and appetite for working with data and AI-led initiatives Cultural fit Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating and sharing knowledge and decision making Being framework agnostic, using the right practices for the context Willing and confident to be a leading voice in suggesting improvements to how we work This role has been deemed Outside IR35 by the client.
