Caritas Recruitment is working in partnership with Cafcass to recruit 2 Agency Family Court Advisers (FCA) on a temporary basis, supporting services across Essex and Norfolk/Suffolk.

Pay Rate: £36 per hour (standard supply rate only)
Contract: Temporary
Hours: 37 hours per week
The Role
As an Agency FCA, you will work with children and families involved in private law proceedings, providing high‑quality analysis and recommendations to the Family Court. You will:
Undertake safeguarding work and child-focused assessments
Engage directly with children, ensuring their needs, wishes and feelings inform all recommendations
Produce clear, analytical court reports
Work collaboratively with parents, local authorities and partner agencies
Contribute professional expertise to court processes
Essential Criteria
Qualified Social Worker
Registered with Social Work England (SWE)
Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months via the submitting agency
Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
Desirable Criteria
Minimum 3 years post‑qualifying experience
