Job Description
At Teconnex in West Yorkshire, we are seeking a technically strong and detail-driven Aerospace Production Engineer to support and improve manufacturing processes for aerospace components and assemblies within a regulated, high-reliability environment.
This position bridges Design Engineering and Manufacturing, ensuring products are delivered efficiently, safely, and fully compliant with aerospace quality and regulatory standards.
The Role
You will play a key role in optimising production processes, supporting new product introduction (NPI), and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement and optimise manufacturing processes for aerospace components Provide technical support to production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve yield Create and maintain work instructions, routings, and manufacturing documentation Collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure DFM/DFA best practice Support NPI activities including tooling, fixtures, validation and production readiness Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Analyse production data to improve cycle time, quality, and cost efficiency Work cross-functionally with Quality, Planning, Maintenance and Supply Chain teams Ensure compliance with AS9100 and applicable regulatory requirements (CAA / EASA / FAA where applicable)
Essential Skills
Experience within aerospace or other high-reliability manufacturing sectors Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as: Stainless steel forming, Spot welding Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T Experience with Aerospace Core Tools: PFD, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP / FAIR, APQP Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills Effective cross-functional communication skills
Desirable skills
Experience working within AS9100-certified environments Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies Experience with CAD and manufacturing planning systems Hands-on experience with tooling, fixtures, and validation activities IEMA membership or working towards Chartered Environmentalist status
Essential:
Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
