Activity Coordinator

We currently have an Activity Co-ordinator vacancy within our Wallsend dementia care home. The position is 25 hours per week, working Monday to Friday (with some flexibility). Duties will include providing well organised and a wide range of meaningful activities in the home, which include regular outings and entertainment within the home. To ensure activities made available are flexible and varied to suit the residents expectations, preferences and capabilities. To ensure there is a balance between religious and other activities within the home and the residents are able to exercise their choice. The successful candidates must be enthusiastic, flexible, pro-active, organised, patient and cheerful, with a genuine interest in working with the elderly. Activity Co-ordinator, occupational therapist or other such qualification/experience is desirable.
