About the Role
An established accountancy practice in South Yorkshire is looking for a Semi-Senior Accountant to join its team. The firm provides a wide range of accountancy, taxation and business advisory services and is known for offering practical, high-value support to local businesses and individuals.
This role is ideal for someone with existing practice experience who is looking to progress and take on more responsibility in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Prepare and submit VAT returns.
Prepare corporation tax computations and personal tax returns.
Complete bookkeeping tasks and work with cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.
Support senior team members with accounts and tax assignments.
Provide day-to-day client support and maintain strong professional relationships.
Requirements
23 years experience working within an accountancy practice.
AAT Level 3/4 or studying towards ACCA/ACA (or relevant experience).
Confident in accounts preparation and tax compliance.
Strong IT skills and experience using accounting software.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, professional approach.
Ability to manage deadlines and produce accurate work independently.
