Accounts Payable Manager | London (NW1) | up to £60k with hybrid working

Our client, a well-established London law firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join its finance team. This is a key role responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function and ensuring efficient, compliant and accurate financial operations within a regulated legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, approvals and payment runs
• Manage supplier accounts, reconciliations and creditor forecasting
• Review daily and monthly online banking payment runs
• Handle supplier queries and maintain the AP inbox
• Liaise closely with billing and cashiering teams
• Supervise and support Accounts Payable Clerks
• Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and the SRA Accounts Rules
• Identify and implement process improvements and strengthen internal controls
• Produce accurate financial reports for internal stakeholders

Requirements:

• Proven accounts payable experience within a law firm (essential)
• Strong working knowledge of VAT and SRA Accounts Rules
• Experience managing or supervising junior team members
• Advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUP)
• Highly organised, analytical and detail-oriented
• Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
