Accounts Manager / Client Manager Position: Accounts Manager/Client Manager Location: Rochdale, United Kingdom Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum Job type: Full-time Work location: Office-based Job Description: We are partnering with a well‑established and highly regarded accountancy practice that is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Manager / Client Manager to support its continued growth. This role offers the chance to take full responsibility for a varied client portfolio while playing an active role in team leadership and practice development. It is well suited to someone who enjoys combining technical work with client interaction and mentoring others within a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities
Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors Reviewing statutory accounts, tax returns, and compliance work prepared by the team Acting as the main point of contact for clients, providing practical and commercial advice Building long‑term client relationships and supporting business planning discussions Leading, coaching, and reviewing the work of junior and mid‑level team members Working closely with senior leadership on workflow management and process improvements Identifying opportunities to enhance client services and add value
Qualifications & Experience
ACA or ACCA qualified Strong background within an accountancy practice environment Experience managing SME and owner‑managed business clients Proven ability to supervise, support, and develop a team Comfortable using modern accounting systems (CCH knowledge advantageous) Commercially aware with a proactive, solutions‑focused approach
