Simpson Judge are partnering with a well-established UK accountancy practice to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager. The ideal candidate will have worked within a professional practice environment and be confident managing a varied client portfolio.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage and develop a portfolio of clients, acting as primary contact.
  • Oversee and review statutory accounts, VAT returns, and management accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and practice standards.
  • Support and review work of junior team members.
  • Liaise with HMRC and assist partners with client advisory work.


Requirements


  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with 2+ years PQE.
  • Essential experience working in a UK accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to manage deadlines.
  • Experience with cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) preferred.
