Accounts & Audit Senior – Penrith Salary: £32,000 – £42,000 (DOE + Study Support if Part-Qualified) Independent Firm of Chartered Accountants Role Overview The role involves a mix of accounts preparation and audit work, typically around 80% accounts and 20% audit, depending on experience and client needs. You will work closely with clients across a variety of sectors, including owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and charitable organisations. Prepare year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders Complete corporation tax computations and liaise with HMRC as required Support and lead audit assignments from planning through to completion Manage and develop relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients Mentor junior team members and review their work Work closely with managers and partners to deliver client-focused solutions

Candidate Requirements

ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified (study support available for part-qualified) Experience in a UK accountancy practice is essential Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and basic tax principles Some audit experience is advantageous, but not essential Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively
