Role Overview

We’re working with our client to find an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is a good opportunity for someone looking to build their experience in practice, with exposure to a variety of clients and day-to-day accounting work.

Key Responsibilities:

Day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
Processing sales and purchase invoices
Bank reconciliations
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Maintaining accurate and organised financial records
Liaising with clients to request information and resolve queries
Supporting accountants with year-end preparation where needed
About You

We're looking for a proactive, driven individual who thrives in fast-paced environments.

Requirements:

Previous experience within practice
Confident using accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
Good understanding of VAT and general bookkeeping processes
Strong attention to detail
Comfortable speaking with clients and building working relationships
Able to manage your own workload and prioritise tasks
A reliable and practical approach to your work
