We’re looking for Accounts Assistants for one of our clients based just outside of Manchester City Centre. The business are well established and a true market leader – They offer a comprehensive range of products and services. As an Accounts Assistant you will be able to provide essential support to the finance team, in ensuring a smooth day-to-day operation across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Credit Control.
Accounts Assistant – The Job:
* Updating of Supplier data onto the companies CRM system.
* Assisting in accounts payable, including supplier setup, processing invoices; to include Purchase Order matching, inputting invoices on to Sage 200, resolving customer queries and the taking of credit card payments
* Assist, when required, with Credit Control, to include monitoring outstanding balances, following up with customers on overdue payments, and maintaining accurate debtor records.
* Assist in the maintenance of the Accounts Inbox to ensure that all entries are dealt with in a timely manner or re-directed to the relevant individual(s) in the business best suited to deal with the enquiry.
Accounts Assistant – The Requirements:
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude to ensure financial processes are executed accurately
* Possess the ability to properly allocate/un-allocate cash using customer remittances/communications.
* The ability to work quickly and efficiently whilst under pressure to ensure all invoices are correctly inputted onto Sage 20
* Desire to learn and develop within a finance team with the ability to multi-task when necessary
* Possess excellent communication skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.
* Possess strong organisational skills and have with the ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
* Able to demonstrate good time-management
* Purchase / Sales ledger: 2 years (required)
* General Accounts Experience
* SAGE 50/200: 2 years (required)
* AAT Intermediate Level (desirable)
