If you are considering sending an application, make sure to hit the apply button below after reading through the entire description.Accounts Assistant / BookkeeperPart Time (Approx 20 hours)We are a busy and well-established accident repair centre looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team.Location: Autofix Accident Repair Centre – Loanhead, EH20 9QHHours: 20 hours per weekSalary: Depending on experienceYou will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial records of the business, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This is a key role supporting the smooth running of our accounts function.Key Responsibilities- Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers- Processing purchase invoices, receipts, sales invoices, and payments- Bank reconciliations- Managing accounts payable and receivable- Preparing for VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements- Assisting with payroll including pension and statutory payments (if experienced)- Manage ONS surverys- Support month-end and year-end financial reporting- Liaising with accountants and management- Monitoring cash flow and reporting on financial activityRequirements- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)- Good understanding of VAT and basic accounting principles- High level of accuracy and attention to detail- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively- Strong excel xwzovoh skills- Experience in the automotive or repair industry (desirable but not essential)What We Offer- Flexible working hours- Friendly and supportive team environment-Monthly bonus if company targets metJob Types: Part-time, PermanentPay: £14,000.00-£17,500.00 per yearExpected hours: 20 hours per weekExperience:Motor Trade: 1 year (preferred)Accounts / Bookkeeping: 3 years (required)Work Location: In person
