Accounts Assistant - 12 Month Maternity Cover

Location: Chesterfield (2–3 days per week in the office) Start Date: Mid-February We are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to provide short-term maternity cover, supporting the finance team with transaction-heavy accounting duties and day-to-day financial processing. This role would suit someone with hands-on accounts experience who is confident working through high volumes of transactions and supporting month-end activities. We offer hybrid working , with 2–3 days per week based in the Chesterfield office , and a start date around mid-February . Key Responsibilities Daily bank reconciliations and cashflow updates Processing and reviewing high-volume financial transactions Supporting month-end close, including journals and reconciliations Assisting with Area P&Ls and reporting Intercompany recharges and control account reconciliations Providing accurate financial information to the wider finance team Ad hoc finance duties as required Skills & Experience Required Previous working experience in an accounts / finance role Strong transactional accounting background Good Excel skills, including formulas and experience similar ...
