Overview:We are partnering with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice in Harrogate to recruit a proactive and client-focused Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, close-knit team where youll be responsible for delivering a broad range of accounting and tax services to a varied client portfolio. Key Responsibilities:Preparation of year-end accounts for a diverse range of clients (sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies).Production of corporation tax and personal tax returns.Managing and maintaining client relationships, acting as a first point of contact for queries.Supporting clients with cloud accounting queries (primarily Xero).Working collaboratively within a small, supportive team environment.Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and practice procedures.Contributing to workflow improvements and supporting the ongoing growth of the practice.
Essential Requirements:Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.Strong working knowledge of Xero.Demonstrable experience producing year-end accounts and tax returns.Excellent communication skills and confidence in a client-facing role.Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently within a small team.
Desirable:Experience using IRIS accountancy software.AAT-qualified, part-qualified ACCA/ACA, or qualified by experience.Knowledge of other cloud accounting platforms.
