PUBLIC RELATIONS ACCOUNT MANAGER - BEAUTY
Our client is an award-winning full service, creative agency with a 360 approach. They have a dynamic and supportive culture with an inspirational approach to PR. Specialising in communications, digital and influencer they help clients change behaviour, challenge perceptions and increase brand awareness for their range of exciting beauty brands.
They are looking for a talented Account Manager, with a PR agency background who is smart and driven. Working as part of a creative family the role is perfect for someone who is keen to get stuck in and play an integral part in this agency’s continued success.
Role and Responsibilities…
- Produce client plans using insights as well as a solid industry understanding based on your client’s business and marketplace
- Ensure you have solid media contacts across a variety of titles and build a clear understanding of their requirements, developing rapport with key influencers and mid-level press contacts
- Input creative ideas into feature plans, continue to achieve appropriate feature coverage and learn to place case studies in the media
- Provide regular, accurate and concise progress reports back to your client
- Plan, coordinate and execute assigned elements of your clients PR plan (e.g. launches, press trip) to a high standard, adhering to deadlines and budgets.
- Ensure you are the client’s day-to-day point of contact to cement a strong relationship
- Attend all client meetings and conference calls; offer up ideas and insight
- Work closely with your director on new business goals and make appropriate suggestions
- Oversee events, including planning, team management, budgeting, execution and analysis
- Keep your team updated on the progress work and provide assistance to your junior team
Skills and Experience…
- Excellent writing skills and experience of working on multi-layered brand campaigns, news generation as well as running press office/s
- Have a passion for media relations - with proven media contacts in the beauty sector
- Experience of drafting media strategies and sell-in plans - managing sell-ins
- Experience of working and briefing talent/ influencers teamed with an understanding of marketing channels
- A keen interest in current affairs and able to take an educated point of view on news stories that relevant to your clients
- A proactive, positive and confident approach to problem solving
- Demonstrate creative thinking to identify ideas, trends and newsjacking opportunities – enjoy contributing to brainstorms
- The desire to understand the business and build strong commercial awareness
- Strong IT skills - Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
