Commercial Account Executive (Desk Based - £150k Book) – Leeds (Hybrid) – £38,000–£45,000 + c£500pm Bonus


Manage and grow your own portfolio of clients, work with warm leads, and build long-term relationships in a fast-paced, supportive insurance environment.


We’re recruiting for an Account Executive to join a successful and ambitious commercial insurance team based in Leeds. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio while also developing new business through supported lead generation and referrals.


The Role:


You’ll play a key role in managing and expanding a portfolio of clients, delivering tailored insurance solutions and driving business growth.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Managing and developing a portfolio of clients, typically consisting of SME's
  • Acting as the main point of contact for all insurance-related matters
  • Identifying and converting new business opportunities (including warm leads)
  • Handling renewals, policy adjustments, and client queries
  • Book generates c£150k in income and is made up by premiums from £2,000 to £40,000
  • Supporting clients through the claims process
  • Negotiating with insurers to secure the best terms and coverage
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal processes
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Arrange and attend meetings with clients over Teams


About You:


  • Has proven experience in insurance sales or account management
  • Has good knowledge of commercial insurance products
  • Is confident building and managing client relationships
  • Has excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Is target-driven with a proactive approach to business development
  • Can manage multiple accounts effectively


Desirable:


  • Progress towards Cert CII (Dip CII preferred)
  • Experience using Acturis
