THE ROLE
Our Revenue team is responsible for selling our products and services, through direct prospecting and servicing inbound leads (mostly driven by referrals). The Account Executive, Enterprise – EU role will enable us to transform our presence in the European Enterprise market, with a focus on Financial Services. As our first person focused on pan-European FS, you’ll be comfortable operating independently and will be able to help shape marketing content/activities (executed by our marketing team) and leverage networks and events to drive self-sourced opportunities. This is an opportunity to join us at a key time in our international expansion, growing out our market in new territories leveraging our strength back home in FS.
This role offers hybrid working from our London office.
WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
- Cultivating and nurturing sales opportunities while achieving targeted numbers for Annual Recurring Revenue and Professional Services.
- Proactively prospecting, as well as qualifying and pursuing marketing-generated leads – with a focus on in-person networking in Luxembourg, Netherlands & Belgium.
- Establishing executive sponsorship by making connections in prospect and partner organisations and understanding business needs and objectives.
- Justifying the value of our proposition, through effective research of a prospect’s business to demonstrate ROI. Expertly navigating objections, anticipating and planning to avoid them.
- Discovering and defining client problems, using questioning and research techniques to uncover explicit or latent business issues related to our products/services.
- Building domain expertise, showing a deep understanding of the target market’s customers, needs and use cases. To be considered “one of them” by prospects.
- Following our sales process guidance and using related tools to ensure accurate data at all times.
- Taking a resourceful approach to your work, creating customer-centric solutions where company approaches fall short and finding solutions to overcome challenges.
- Taking a creative view on how we sell, recognising the need to go beyond the playbook for some potential opportunities.
- Raising the game on how we ensure we maximise our deal potential and capture a much bigger market share.

We’re open-minded on the background someone may have coming into this role, but things that could help a candidate to be successful would be:
Required Experience
- Understanding of the Financial Services industry, preferably with an understanding of governance and regulatory requirements within the industry.
- A highly experienced sales executive with proven track record of delivering growth, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment across Europe particularly Lux, Belgium, Netherlands & UK.
- Mastery of the SaaS sales process, with exceptional eye for detail on how to build the disciplines and approach to sell varied products to senior, discerning buyers in Enterprise businesses.
- Understanding of board governance and target decision makers for Board Intelligence’s products (company secretaries or equivalents).
- Experience in a high end professional services environment, building creative solutions to complex client problems and selling major pieces of work would be beneficial.
Required Skills
- Gravitas and poise to engage senior stakeholders with challenging demands, whilst also having the warmth to nurture relationships with more junior members of FS governance teams.
- A passion for business, with knowledge about governance, leadership and decision-making. An appreciation for enterprise-level board dynamism especially in FS would be beneficial.
- Exceptional operating disciplines, attention to detail and project management ability. Innately metric-driven.
- The grit and tenacity needed to deliver this ambitious remit and thrive in an evolving and ambiguous environment, operating often independently.
- European languages – native/advanced fluency in English, French required and at least one other of Dutch/Flemish/German.
