Mechanical Design Engineer (Permanent)\n Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer looking for your next opportunity? Do you have strong 3D CAD experience and a solid background in mechanical design? If so, this role could be a great fit for you.\n Our client, a leading engineering organisation within the marine sector, is seeking a motivated and capable Mechanical Design Engineer.

The successful candidate will bring strong design experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work across a range of engineering applications and industries.\n\n Mechanical Design Engineer (Permanent)\n Permanent position\n Salary: £45,000 – £55,000\n Monday to Friday on-site\n Birmingham\n Must hold a British passport\n\n Mechanical Design Engineer (Permanent)\n Job Description\n • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD (SolidWorks )\n • Produce detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings\n • Work on a variety of engineering projects across the marine sector and related industries\n • Present technical designs and solutions to customers\n • Liaise with external suppliers including metallurgists and R&D teams\n • Ensure designs meet performance, quality, and manufacturability requirements\n • Support design reviews, modifications, and continuous improvement activities\n • Maintain accurate engineering documentation in line with company standards\n\n Mechanical Design Engineer (Permanent)\n Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications\n • Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer\n • Strong 3D CAD modelling experience (SolidWorks , others considered)\n • Strong understanding of maths, physics, and engineering principles\n • Confident in customer-facing situations and technical presentations\n • Experience liaising with suppliers and external stakeholders\n • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and development\n • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively\n\n If you feel you’re a good fit for this position, please click ‘apply
