Third Line Support Engineer – Wigan
The NRL Group is looking for a Third Line Support Engineer to join our team in Wigan. In this hands-on role, you’ll work closely with our IT Systems Manager and other Group support teams to maintain our infrastructure and ensure IT services are secure, performant, and available for over 200 system users. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of IT systems and services at NRL, contributing to a collaborative and service-oriented environment.
Please note: Candidates should live within a maximum one-hour commute of our Wigan office (WN3 6GL).

Technical Experience
5+ years with Microsoft 365 apps, Azure infrastructure, Active Directory, and PowerShell
2+ years with Intune, Microsoft Defender, and network troubleshooting
Desirable: Teams Phone, PostgreSQL, DevOps, Linux Server OS
Certifications in Microsoft Azure and/or Office 365
Onsite role with occasional travel to other NRL branches

Key Responsibilities
Support Microsoft 365 apps and business-critical platforms
Manage devices via Intune, Autopilot, and Defender
Monitor and troubleshoot Azure infrastructure and network issues
Maintain mobile devices, backups, and disaster recovery systems
Perform routine system maintenance and documentation
Escalation point for IT Helpdesk and cover for 1st Line Support when needed
