A well-established North Yorkshire law firm is looking for TWO Private Family Solicitors to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for two experienced Family Solicitors (4+ PQE) to join a respected practice with a loyal client base, strong local reputation, and spearheaded by an incredibly experienced solicitor and mediator so the opportunity to learn is second to none. The role:

Manage a varied caseload of private Family Law matters (no Legal Aid work), stepping into a caseload where a significant % of them are litigated files. Focus on financial settlements following divorce or separation, as well as wider family law issues. Work with the Head of Family to develop and modernise the department. Supervise and support junior team members, including paralegals and trainees. Deliver exceptional client service and contribute to the continued success of the team.

The ideal candidate:

4+ years' PQE with solid experience across all aspects of private Family Law. Confident handling financial cases, including those involving high net worth clients. Proactive, commercially minded, and confident in taking ownership of your caseload. Comfortable with technology and open to improving systems and working methods (experience with speech recognition software is desirable). Supervisory experience required to work with paralegals, trainees and legal support.
