Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support - EYFS) - Spilsby area, Lincolnshire
Full-Time (Potential Extension)
Start Date: 22nd April 2026 | End Date: 22nd July 2026

Simply Education are currently recruiting a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to support a learner on a 1:1 basis within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) at a welcoming local primary school.

This is a full-time, term-time-only position, running Monday to Friday, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a young learner's educational journey. There is potential for the role to be extended beyond the initial contract period.

Working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in EYFS is a highly rewarding role where you play a key part in supporting a child at the very beginning of their education. You will help to build strong foundations in learning through play-based activities, communication, and social interaction. The role requires patience, consistency, and a nurturing approach, as you will support the child's emotional development, confidence, and independence. You will also adapt activities to meet individual needs, helping the child to access the curriculum in a way that suits them best.

The Role:

  • Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil within EYFS
  • Assist with learning activities, helping to engage and motivate the child
  • Support the child's social, emotional, and developmental needs
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with children, ideally within a nursery or primary school setting
  • Be patient, caring, and adaptable to individual needs
  • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Be committed to supporting children's development and wellbeing
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
