Veritas Education is proud to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Croydon in their search for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from Easter 2026.

This Ofsted-rated 'Good' school is known for its nurturing ethos and strong commitment to inclusion. The successful candidate will provide consistent one-to-one support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them access the curriculum, regulate emotions, and develop both academically and socially within the classroom environment.

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will play a key role in implementing tailored support strategies, adapting learning materials, and promoting positive engagement throughout the school day.

This role is ideal for a patient, resilient, and empathetic individual who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in a child's educational journey.

The Ideal 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant Will Have:

Proven experience supporting children in a primary school setting - essential

Experience working with pupils with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, or SEMH)

A strong understanding of behaviour regulation and communication strategies

A calm, nurturing, and consistent approach
