Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support to a student with Special Educational Needs (SEN), supporting them with their learning, social, and emotional development. Assist the student in understanding and engaging with lesson content, ensuring they can follow and participate in classroom activities. Help the student complete classwork and other academic tasks, offering tailored assistance in a way that suits their learning style. Support the student's emotional well-being by offering encouragement, building confidence, and fostering positive relationships. Adapt learning materials and teaching resources where necessary, to ensure the student's needs are met. Liaise with the class teacher and other staff members to ensure a consistent and cohesive approach to supporting the student. Promote independence and encourage the student to develop essential skills for learning and social interaction. Key Requirements: Previous experience working with children, particularly in an SEN setting, is highly desirable but not essential. A passion for supporting children with special educational needs, and a commitment to helping them achieve their potential. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
