Position: Youth Support Worker
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £25,857 per annum
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Are you passionate about empowering young people to build brighter futures? Join our dedicated team at Hemel YPHS, providing supported accommodation for 16-24-year-olds, including young parents and those moving towards independence.

You will be part of a compassionate, values-driven team that works collaboratively with social workers, local authorities, and other professionals to create a safe, inclusive environment where every young person feels respected and supported. Your role will involve:

Helping young people develop life skills and confidence
Supporting access to education, training, and employment
Building trusting relationships and offering compassionate guidance
Responding to challenges and contributing to safeguarding plansThis role follows a 24-hour rota, including evenings, weekends, and regular sleep-ins (paid at £52.78 per night).

Shifts:

2:30pm - 10:30pm
Sleep in 10:30pm - 7:30am
7:30am - 3:30pmAbout You

You will be empathetic, resilient, and committed to making a difference. A full UK driving licence with business insurance and access to a vehicle is essential, as you may need to transport young people.

You must commit to starting an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Children and Young People’s Workforce Diploma within one year of joining

£25,857 per annum, plus sleep in payments of at least £52.78
33 days annual leave, including bank holidays, rising to 35 days with service
