Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher looking for opportunities in Chester?

Academics are supporting primary schools across Chester seeking a Year 1 Teacher to help pupils transition from Early Years into Key Stage 1. Many of these roles begin on supply and progress into long-term education and training opportunities paid to scale.

This role is ideal for a Year 1 Teacher who enjoys building strong early foundations and is open to supply teaching as a pathway into a long-term education and training position.

The Role

As a Year 1 Teacher in Chester, you will:

Support pupils transitioning from EYFS into structured learning
Deliver engaging phonics and early literacy lessons
Build confidence, routines, and independence
Adapt teaching to meet a range of early learning needs

Holds QTS
Has experience in EYFS or KS1 settings
Has a strong understanding of phonics and early development
