Yards Operative

Job Location: Southampton, Hampshire

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 7.30am – 4.30pm

We are working with a manufacturer of Windows and Doors who are looking to recruit for a Yards Operative to join the business. Working from their site in Southampton you will be responsible for:

* Loading and unloading: The role will involve the handling & physical movement of goods, materials, and equipment.

* Stock management: The organisation and storage of goods whilst ensuring they are properly accounted for.

* Record keeping: The role will require keeping track of stock levels, incoming and outgoing goods and other relevant information.

* Customer service: Frequent interaction with customers including assisting with loading of vehicles.

* Yard maintenance: Keeping the yard clean, tidy, and free from hazards is a core responsibility.

* Health and safety: Maintaining a safe working environment is crucial, along with adhering to safety procedures.

This role will involve manual handling and working outdoors in various conditions.

The successful candidate will possess;

* Excellent Teamwork and communication skills

* PC Literate

* Excellent attention to detail to maintain accurate records

* Hold a full clean UK driving licence
