Warehouse & Yard Operative\n\nSkyline Roofing Centres are a leading supplier of roofing and building materials with branches within and around the M25. Our sales indicate that we are the leading privately owned supplier of roofing materials and we have been operating for over 50 years.\n\nWe are currently recruiting for a Yard & Warehouse Operative to join our friendly, small Uxbridge branch. This is a full time, permanent Warehouse & Yard Operative role.

We offer full training but you must have a forklift licence or at least some forklift experience. In return we will offer you a competitive salary, 28 days holiday, life assurance & EAP, discretionary bonus, Cyclescheme and Long Service Awards.\n\nThe role of a Yard & Warehouse Operative:\nDealing with customers;\nForklift Truck Driving;\nLoading and unloading vehicles;\nGeneral warehouse duties.\n\nKey Responsibilities of a Yard & Warehouse Operative:\n\n * Ensure that customers are served promptly and efficiently with the correct materials;\n\n * Receive and check off deliveries to the branch, highlighting any anomalies and ensuring correct and timely storage of goods are in line with Health & Safety Guidelines;\n\n * Assist with picking and loading of orders;\n\n * Ensure that stock is clearly identifiable and low stock levels are highlighted to Branch Management;\n\n * Ensure that forklifts are used and maintained in an appropriate manner in line with Health & Safety Guidelines;\n\n * Work and communicate as a team member to ensure the branch operates efficiently and effectively within Company procedure;\n\n * Ensure the yard and warehouse are kept clean and tidy at all times in-line with Company Health & Safety Guidelines;\n\n * Participate in training to develop knowledge of products and elements necessary to be successful in the business.\n\nThe candidate applying for the role of Yard & Warehouse Operative must:\n\n * Have the ability to work under pressure and multi task;\n\n * Be sufficiently confident in maths and basic literacy;\n\n * Have a forklift licence or some forklift experience;.\n\n * Be able to work as part of a team.\n\nHours are 7am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays 7.30am to 10.30am.\n\nAll Warehouse & Yard Operative applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK and documented evidence will be required as part of the recruitment process.\n\nPlease apply today for an immediate interview for the Warehouse & Yard Operative
