We are proud to working alongside our client, a well-established national organisation with their search for a Yard Person / Shunter Driver to be based on site in Leicester
What does the role involve?
To supervise the day-to-day running of all aspects of the yard of the haulage company
To teach best practice into all members the yard team
To monitor and manage the performance to optimum levels of all yard staff
To ensure all product / Vehicles is always correctly positioned, well presented and accessible
Signing/Checking All Deliveries
Ensuring Excellent Housekeeping In Yard/Workshop Area.
Security / Gatehouse Duties ( Signing visitors in and out band directing accordingly)
Completing site inductions for Haulers
Traffic Management
General Yard coordinator house keeping
Implementing site safety rules and reporting incidents to Supervisor
Carry out Shunting work of vehicles within the yard
Your Experience
Knowledge of HGV vehicles would be ideal as the role involves visual checks on Vehicles
Experience within a supervisory role will be ideal but not essential
Experience of HGV Driving is essential
Successful candidates must possess a minimum of an HGV Class 2 Licence
Can multi-Task and prioritise duties.
