Workshop Supervisor Location: North West Salary:
£50,000
£60,000 + 10% Bonus + Overtime + 33 Days Holiday Are you an experienced Mechanical Supervisor ready to step up into a Service Manager role? Do you have strong expertise in gearboxes, motors, engines, pumps, and drive chain componentsand enjoy leading from the front? The Opportunity As Service Manager, you will lead a team of 11 engineers within a workshop environment, ensuring high standards of productivity, quality, and continuous improvement. Youll also act as the primary technical contact for both customers and suppliers. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys combining team management with technical involvement. You will oversee operations across two sites, with regular travel (23 nights per week). A company van will be provided for site travel. Drive productivity, quality standards, and operational processes
Oversee service operations across two sites
Deliver training and support continuous improvement initiatives
Act as the main technical point of contact for customers and suppliers
About You Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or Team Leader
Strong technical knowledge of gearboxes, motors, engines, pumps, and rotating equipment
Hands-on experience with stripping, inspection, and repair of mechanical components
Ambitious and ready to progress into a Service Manager role
Comfortable with travel and working across multiple sites
