Our ever-growing client based on Halesfield in Telford are seeking two skilled and dedicated Window Fitter to join them on a full time temp to perm basis, working 12 weeks through Swift Temps before being offered a permanent contract with the client.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Window Fitting and possess a variety of technical skills. As a Window Fitter, the candidates will be responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of windows in commercial properties throughout the Midlands. The ideal candidate will have the expertise to ensure that all installations meet safety standards and client specifications.
Duties
Install, repair, and replace windows in various types of commercial buildings.
Measure and cut materials to size using hand tools and power tools.
Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate installations.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, plumbers, and electricians, to complete projects efficiently.
Conduct inspections of installed windows to ensure quality and compliance with regulations.
Perform masonry work as needed for window installations.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year proven experience
in window fitting
Valid CSCS Card (essential)
Competent with hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment
Good understanding of carpentry principles
Ability to read and follow technical drawings accurately
Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems (advantageous)
Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
