As a growing business, our client requires a team player who can contribute to their growing team to support the ongoing development, maintenance and improvement of the web applications in use. Stafflex are seeking a mid-level Developer who will report to a Lead Web Developer, but have a strong preexisting foundation in the Web Development space. You'll work closely with designers, developers, and the wider business, contributing to both back and front end development in a varied and fast paced environment. Laravel experience is essential for this position. Base-level knowledge is acceptable, as structured learning and on-site training is available. Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing and maintaining web applications using LaravelWriting clean, efficient, and maintainable code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptSupporting front-end development, ensuring responsive, user-friendly interfacesWorking with WordPress on new and existing projectsCollaborating with designers and senior developers on new featuresDebugging and troubleshooting issues across browsers and devicesEnsuring cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsivenessContributing to code reviews and development best practiceMeeting project deadlines and working effectively as part of a small teamSupporting other areas of business where requiredKey RequirementsPractical experience with Laravel (routing, controllers, Blade templates)Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (including jQuery)Good working knowledge of WordPressExperience using Git or other version control systemsBasic database knowledge (e.g. MySQL)Experience building responsive designs using frameworks such as Bootstrap or TailwindStrong attention to detail and problem-solving mindsetBasic understanding of tool such as PhotoshopExperience with Vue.js, React or other JavaScript frameworks would be a bonusUnderstanding of SEO best practiceCross-browser testing and debugging experienceExposure to Linux environments or Windows Subsystem for LynuxIf you are looking for a role in a dedicated and supportive environment, this could be the role for you!
