Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work with our technical lead and team to manage the waste exemptions regime. Waste Exemption (WEX) charges were implemented on 1 July 2025. WEX charges will bring environmental, regulatory, and business benefits but will also increase workload in E&B. We need to establish WEX on a sustainable footing and manage it like other chargeable regimes.

You will:

Ultimately, you will own all aspects of WEX, supporting the wider team’s work and priorities.

The team

You will join our national Waste Treatment and Transfer team, including leads on biowaste, non-hazardous and hazardous waste, metals, fire prevention, and waste exemptions.
