We are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate a team of operatives daily, resolving issues as they arise and escalating matters when necessary. Operate Ride-on PPT and Pivot Steer equipment to safely load and unload palletised goods from vehicles, including placing pallets into racking systems. Conduct routine checks across the warehouse, including inspections of staff, MHE, and equipment to ensure compliance and safety. Oversee picking operations within your designated area to maintain safety standards and achieve performance targets in line with company expectations. Complete required documentation accurately, reporting any defects, and liaise with the distribution office to ensure seamless coordination between transport and warehouse teams. Engage with operatives to promote best practice, understand any challenges, and support them in achieving optimal pick rates. Use warehouse management systems and scanners to accurately receive, locate, pick, and dispatch goods, ensuring all items are handled with care. Maintain a clean, organised warehouse environment and ensure all equipment is kept in good working order. Provide a clear handover at the end of each shift to ensure continuity for the incoming team. Requirements: A Pivot / Ride-on PPT licence is preferred but training may be provided. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to doing things right. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Why Join Gregory Distribution Ltd?
