Up to £14.60 per hour (Qualified Support Worker salary is based on the proven existing completion of a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent) Specific Hours : 20:00pm- 8:00am (12 hour shifts) Benefits A robust Induction and mandatory training program to up skill our workforce Progression within the organisation on promotion and development of given role Weekly rota on rotation- 48 hours Minimum average of 168 hours per calendar month 236 hours annual leave per annum (including bank holidays) Holiday increase per year - 12 extra hours for 3 years (capped at 272 hours) Pension scheme after a qualifying period Enrolment and funding for required qualification if not already held. Waking Night Support Worker
to support the physical, emotional, and social development of the children and young people in our homes. Duties and Responsibilities Stay awake and alert for the full night shift Ensure children's safety and wellbeing throughout the night Provide empathy, reassurance, and support when needed Support personalised bedtime routines and occasional activities Keep accurate computer-based records Follow the Philomena protocol for missing children Communicate with out-of-hours services and handle calls professionally Follow all Area Camden policies and act as a positive role model Contribute to the home's values and adapt to children's changing needs Essential skills required Strong teamwork, energy, and enthusiasm Knowledge of safeguarding children Able to follow tasks, record handovers, and maintain policies Good written and verbal communication Able to listen, engage, and act appropriately with children Organised, with good planning skills Willing to work toward a Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification (if not already held) Area Camden is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates.
