Location: Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire

Shift: Monday-Friday, 08:30-17:00 (40 hours after breaks)

Pay: Up to £17.16 per hour

Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing Work

We are recruiting Vehicle Technicians to join a busy automotive workshop supporting manufacturer recall programmes. This is a great opportunity to gain experience working with a wide range of modern vehicles, carrying out recall work, system updates, and light mechanical tasks.

Full training will be provided, making this role ideal for someone with a basic mechanical background looking to develop their skills further within a structured workshop environment.

The Role:

* Carry out manufacturer recall work in line with technical instructions and workshop processes

* Complete software updates and system reprogramming using approved diagnostic equipment

* Perform vehicle inspections and follow recall-specific check procedures

* Undertake light mechanical work, including minor repairs and component changes

* Accurately complete job cards, system updates, and all associated documentation

* Carry out post-work checks to ensure all recall actions have been completed correctly

* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment

* Escalate any issues or delays to the relevant team members

The Person:

* Previous mechanical or automotive experience

* Comfortable using computer-based systems and diagnostic tools

* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately

* Safety-conscious with a high standard of work

* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Desirable:

* Previous experience in a Vehicle Technician or workshop-based role

* NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)

* Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models

* Full UK driving licence
