Job Summary We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. You will play a key role in delivering expert diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and MOT testing. You will also support the workshop team, provide guidance to junior staff and workforce volunteers, and ensure high standards of safety, efficiency, and workmanship. Key Responsibilities * Carry out servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on vehicles for retail and trade customers, meeting the highest standards of quality and safey * Conduct Class 4,5 and 7 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards * Work efficiently, completing tasks within specified timeframes based on Autodata guidance * Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced technicians, and supervise workforce volunteers in carrying out basic fast fit tasks * Liaise with Service Manager to explain faults or repairs, and ensure parts are ordered * Be proactive in carrying out vehicle health checks and identifying work required * Keep the workshop clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations * Some Saturday work required on a rota basis, with equivalent time off during the week Requirements * Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance, or equivalent * At least 3 years experience in a similar role, and proven excellent technical competence * Strong diagno...
