5pm | 40 hours + overtime Our client is a
leading Ground Support Equipment (GSE) engineering and fleet management company
based at
Heathrow Airport . Due to continued growth and investment in their
state-of-the-art workshop , they are now looking to recruit an
experienced Vehicle Technician / GSE Engineer
to join their expanding team. This is a unique opportunity to work on specialist airport vehicles and equipment in one of the UKs most dynamic engineering environments.
Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic -Your Responsibilities As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of commercial vehicles and airport equipment, including: Carrying out
planned and preventative maintenance (PPM)
in line with schedules Servicing, maintenance, and repairs
on HGVs, GSE, and plant equipment Performing
diagnostics, inspections, brake and smoke tests Identifying faults and reporting required repairs and parts to the Workshop Supervisor Completing
job cards, inspection sheets, and workshop paperwork
accurately Booking out parts and highlighting
VOR (Vehicle Off Road) parts
when required Supporting workshop operations to ensure maximum fleet availability
Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic -What Were Looking For To succeed in this role, you will need: City & Guilds Level 3
in Vehicle Maintenance (Level 2 considered) Minimum 2 years experience
in HGV, GSE, or Light Vehicles Proven
mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills A
full UK driving licence Ability to pass
airside clearance
(criminal record check and 5-year employment history) Strong communication skills and a
