Job Title: Van Driver

Salary: £12.21 £13.69 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 4:00/5:00pm
Start Date: Immediate

About the role:

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Van Driver to join a well-respected national childrens charity on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road, takes pride in delivering excellent service, and is looking for weekday work.

This role also offers further opportunities to work with other local clients once the assignment ends, providing ongoing and varied work.

About the role:

As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and collection of goods across the local and surrounding areas. You will represent the organisation professionally at every delivery point, ensuring a positive experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Safely operating a 3.5t van for deliveries and collections
• Planning routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries
• Loading and unloading goods, ensuring items are handled with care
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records
• Providing excellent customer service at every delivery location

What we're looking for:

• Valid UK Driving Licence
• Previous van driving or multi-drop experience (preferred but not essential)
• Good knowledge of local and national road networks
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Physically able to load and unload goods
• No more than 6 penalty points
