Utilities Maintenance Engineer (Boilers & Steam)

Manchester £35.00 - £40.00 p/h Outside IR35

Monday to Friday 6.30am to 3pm

We’re recruiting a Utilities Maintenance Engineer for a fast-paced FMCG site in Manchester. Reporting to the Team Leader, you’ll deliver both reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring all utilities support efficient production.

Key Duties:

First response for site utilities (steam, boilers, air, water, effluent, BMS, HVAC)
Carry out maintenance, fault finding, and repairs
Maintain utility performance to meet production needs
Ensure H&S, environmental, and statutory compliance
Support installations, inspections, and emergency call-outs
Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 or recognised apprenticeship
BOAS or equivalent steam/boiler certification
Experience with boilers and steam systems
Strong safety focus and problem-solving skills
Ability to read engineering drawings
