As a skilled HGV driver, you will play a vital part in ensuring our customers receive their products on time and in excellent condition.Key Responsibilities:Route Planning and Execution: Confirm delivery instructions and plan routes accordingly to meet delivery schedules.Delivery Verification: Undertake checks at point of delivery to ensure the customer's order is correct and complete delivery paperwork, noting any errors or returns.Customer Interaction: Obtain customer signature or branch signature for internal branch transfers.Reporting and Compliance: Report any road/bridge restrictions or other delivery problems.Vehicle Security and Safety: Follow procedures for securing the premises, vehicle, stock, and cash.Support Services: Support the branch with picking, packing, stock checks, loading & housekeeping duties as required.Safe Driving Practices: Drive the vehicle safely and professionally at all times in accordance with the law.Daily Vehicle Inspections: Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues daily and throughout the day.Servicing and Maintenance: Be aware of the vehicle inspection rota for servicing and MOT.Loading and Unloading: Supervise the loading of the vehicle to ensure products are safely loaded within weight limits and secured.Incident Reporting: Report accidents and incidents as soon as possible following the incident in line with company's accident procedure.Vehicle Display and Equipment Operation: Display the Operator's Licence Disc, FORS Accreditation, and Vulnerable Road User stickers on the vehicle. Operate a Moffett Mounty fork truck for loading/off-loading.About You:Qualifications and Experience: Valid HGV Driving Qualification - C, Moffett License, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver CPC Card. Professional driving experience. Health and safety awareness.
