An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Logistic Planner based at our Head Office in Halifax. We are looking for a proactive, professional individual, to join our responsive and forward-thinking team. The day to day duties include, but are not limited to: Planning: Maintain daily scheduling Support administrative processes to assist and advise operations on trends patterns Planning a large and complex transport operation Building and maintaining relationships with all internal stakeholders and customers where appropriate Planning, Organizing, and Controlling business unit vehicles and drivers in accordance to customer requirements and services Health and Safety Ensuring compliance to health and safety, statutory, industry and customer requirements Daily checks on vehicles Ensuring that accident reports are assessed and report all new damages and defect to the vehicles. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of the transport and or the manufacturing industry Experience in route scheduling and cost saving planning Previous experience in transport planning essential Key Skills & Requirements Resilience to react to high volume and quick decisions Hands on approach Excellent analytical skills Administrative Skills Computer Literacy (MS Office) Planning and Scheduling Able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people Ability to work in a team Create solutions Methodical approach to problem solving Maintain all records in a clear and systematic way

Work schedule: 4 on 4 off
