The transportation infrastructure sector in Scotland is experiencing unprecedented levels of investment and AtkinsRéalis is leading projects to upgrade existing transport networks to deliver future demand including active travel initiatives, rail upgrades as well as extensive public transport corridor enhancements. We are also working closely with our clients to support their digital transformation and are developing new initiatives to help them deliver on their Net Zero commitments.
AtkinsRéalis is going from strength to strength in Scotland and are providing a wide range of support to our clients. We have exciting growth plans to further expand our business in response to this pipeline of work and we are looking to enhance our transport planning team in Edinburgh. We are currently seeking a talented, experienced individual to help deliver transport planning projects for our expanding client base. The role will be based in Edinburgh but will also involve supporting our Glasgow office as well as our wider AtkinsRéalis business.
Your Purpose
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who wishes to contribute to shaping and growing a high performing, dynamic team, working seamlessly across our national business. We cover all aspects of multidisciplinary planning, design and management from inception to options appraisal through to detailed scheme design and delivery support. Our transport planners support our clients in finding the best outcomes for their transport challenges. We develop innovative solutions and advise on everything from project costs and benefits to the best options to unlock investment.
What You Can Bring
Successful applicants will be flexible, self-motivated and will be expected to demonstrate a capability in any of the following:
- Development of transport strategies and plans (local and strategic)
- Scheme appraisal and business case preparation
- Transport scheme development
- Development planning
- Feasibility and corridor studies
- Multi-modal transport strategies

The posts will be based in our Edinburgh office although we support agile working. Security Clearance
