I'm working with a fast-growing, award-winning consultancy that's looking for a Transport Planner to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with at least 2 years' experience in transport planning who wants to develop their skills further while working on a variety of projects in a supportive environment. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career by gaining more responsibility, learning from senior colleagues, and contributing to project delivery across multiple schemes.
\n\nKey Responsibilities\n
\n Assist in the delivery of small to medium transport planning projects, supporting senior team members with budget management, scheduling, and project coordination \n
\n
Prepare and contribute to Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, Access Appraisals, and Technical Notes \n
\n
Support site visits, providing input to inform scheme development
\n
Work with modelling packages, AutoCAD, TRICS, and other transport planning tools to support analyses
\n
Attend project team, client, and Local Highway Authority meetings alongside senior colleagues
\n
Help prepare materials for public consultations \n
\n
Build positive working relationships with architects, planners, and highways officers \n
\n
Contribute to proposals for smaller projects
\n
\n\nSkills & Experience Required\n
\n Degree-level qualification or equivalent in Transport, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline \n
\n
Minimum of 2 years' experience in transport planning \n
\n
Working knowledge of relevant design guidance and awareness of local planning policies \n
\n
Strong written and verbal communication skills
\n
Ability to prioritise tasks, work well in a team, and take initiative \n
\n
Competent with Microsoft Office , AutoCAD , TRICS , and transport modelling software
\n
