Job Title:Transformation & Change Infrastructure Programme Manager\n Location: Sheffield (3x days on-site per week)\n Salary/Rate: £468 Per Day - Inside IR35\n Start Date: 26/01/2026\n Job Type: Initial contract until 30/11/2026\n\nCompany Introduction\n\nWe have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled experienced Infrastructure Programme Manager to lead a $4m global infrastructure upgrade programme spanning 23 countries.\n\nJob Responsibilities/Objectives\n\nThis role will drive the upgrade of the Dealerboard infrastructure across the estate, covering software upgrades and targeted hardware refresh, while managing demanding business stakeholders and ensuring robust delivery governance, risk control, and outcomes aligned to business priorities.\n\nProgramme Leadership & Delivery:\n\nLead end-to-end delivery of a ~$4m infrastructure programme, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality expectations.\nManage programme scope across software upgrades and hardware components, coordinating multiple workstreams and dependencies.\nBuild and maintain an integrated programme plan, milestones, RAID, reporting cadence, and governance routines.Stakeholder Management:\n\nEngage and influence demanding business stakeholders, building confidence through clear communication, realistic planning, and transparent delivery updates.\nDrive effective decision-making with senior stakeholders, ensuring timely approvals and resolution of escalations.\nMaintain stakeholder alignment across 23 countries, balancing local needs with global standards.Governance, Risk & Control:\n\nEstablish and operate programme governance (steerco, working groups, key checkpoints).\nOwn RAID management (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), ensuring proactive mitigation and timely escalation.\nEnsure delivery is compliant with internal controls, audit requirements, and operational risk standards.Delivery Execution (Infrastructure Focus):\n\nCoordinate delivery across infrastructure teams (e.g., networks, end-user compute, platform services, service management, deployment teams) and third parties.\nDrive environments through lifecycle milestones (design, build, test, rollout, hypercare).\nEnsure service readiness: cutover planning, operational acceptance, documentation, and support model alignment.Financial & Vendor Management:\n\nManage programme budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.\nSupport procurement processes and vendor performance management where applicable.\nEnsure contracts, deliverables, and service outcomes are clearly defined and tracked.Required Skills/Experience\n The ideal candidate will have the following:\n\nMust- Have:\n\nDemonstrable experience delivering infrastructure programmes of significant scale and complexity (budget ownership and multi-workstream delivery).\nStrong track record of managing senior and demanding business stakeholders-confident in navigating challenge and driving decisions.\nExperience delivering technology change across multiple countries/regions with diverse stakeholders and rollout constraints.\nStrong governance discipline: programme reporting, RAID, dependency management, and steering forums.\nAbility to operate in regulated, control-focused environments with a strong understanding of risk and operational readiness.Key Competencies:\n\nDelivery leadership: clear direction, accountability, and momentum across complex environments.\nCommunication: concise, confident updates tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.\nResilience under pressure: calm, structured, and decisive with competing priorities and stakeholder demands.\nCommercial acumen: effective budget oversight, vendor engagement, and value-focused decisions.\nCollaboration: builds trust across global teams and functions.?Desirable Skills/Experience\n Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:\n\nExperience with global end-user/desk infrastructure, trading floor or comparable high-availability environments (helpful but not essential).\nKnowledge of change/release management and service transition concepts (e.g., ITIL-aligned delivery).\nFamiliarity with delivery frameworks (e.g., Agile delivery, PRINCE2/MSP, PMI) and strong practical application of these.If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply now with your updated CV in Microsoft Word/PDF format.\n\nDisclaimer\n Notwithstanding any guidelines given to level of experience sought, we will consider candidates from outside this range if they can demonstrate the necessary competencies.\n Square One is acting as both an employment agency and an employment business, and is an equal opportunities recruitment business.
